Dental Implantology - Prosthetic Animation: Bridge-Work (Open Tray Technique)
Indication
The SIC Transfer Abutment "open tray technique" is used when taking impressions using a custom impression tray. The abutment transfers the absolute and relative implant position as well as the position of the inner hex to the laboratory working model. For a situation-related application the transfer abutment is available in a short and a long version.
Description
The tray should be perforated in the region of the implant to facilitate insertion of the transfer abutment fixation screw. The abutment has a shortened inner hex, which allows accurate, distortion-free and stress-free impression taking, even with divergent implants. The emergence region of the gingiva has a cylindrical design and the head section is provided with retention. The transfer abutment is fixed in position on the implant using the retention screw for 17.5 mm transfer abutments.
Additional information
It is important to ensure a low tightening torque of 4-5 Ncm.
